Natural Cleaning: Top 5 Cleaning Recipes For The Kitchen

A few months after I started my journey of removing animal products from my diet, I also decided I wanted to remove any products in my day to day life that harmed animals. So, I started taking a good look at which companies animal tested and which did not.

It was surprisingly difficult to find out information about cleaning companies that tests on animals. Most of the resources I found were about cosmetic processes. At the time, I was trying to find out with Air Wick animal tested. I had a few of their air freshener plug in's and I wanted to know if I should purchase refills for them or if I should get rid of them.

After an hour or so of research, I was not able to find very many reliable resources. I eventually came across an all-inclusive list of cleaning and beauty companies that test on animals from PETA (CLICK HERE to view that list) Come to find out that Air Wick does in fact test on animals and I gave the plug ins away.

I found that most of my go-to cleaners are on this list. So I had to rethink everything. I found that most of the cleaners that are readily available to me are also on this list. Then it hit me, I could make them from home! Not only would I stop giving money to companies that test on animals, keeping plastic bottles out of the landfill, and it would save me money.

Here are my top 5 homemade cleaners for the kitchen!
